 Welcome to Watkins Elementary School. I am proud and humbled by the privilege to serve as Principal of this great school with its rich heritage in the community. I am excited to have this wonderful opportunity to impact the lives of children in this local community. The staff at Watkins Elementary School is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and welcoming learning environment for all of our children. We will work diligently to provide rigorous instruction; student centered classrooms, and high expectations for our students and enhance and strengthen the role of our school as an integral part of the local, as well as, the global community. As the world around us is changing and constantly evolving, so must our schools. Therefore, as principal of Watkins Elementary School, I embark upon the challenge of positioning our school as an educational institution that will prepare our children from all walks of life to beomce highly competitive academically, technologically, and socially in the global community. We must all work together as we embrace the changes and challenges that we will face. We welcome the support of parents, community leaders, and all stakeholders to join us and become active participants in the lives of our young citizens who represent the best of what our nation is and should ever hope to become.
